On November 8 and 9, 2024, a selection of my street photographs was showcased alongside the works of international photographers in the exhibition “Invisible Cities: The city and desire,” organized by Galeria Fülle. This event was held at the cultural space La Tomada in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
I was born in Caracas and have lived in Barcelona since 2008. The distance separating me from my family is immense. A song from “El Último de la Fila” says, “My country in my shoes,” and that’s exactly how I feel.
When you leave your homeland, knowing you won’t be back for a long time, you must be ready to fight the melancholy and memories and cope with no longer hearing familiar accents or eating home-cooked meals.
My experience tells me that high-quality food photographs and micro-videos published on restaurant social profiles do more than just look good; they actively boost audience interaction. Not only do they increase likes and positive comments on social networks, but they also attract more diners to the restaurant.
